Welcome to Inspire — a space created from the heart by husband and wife team, Sam and Simon.
Inspire was born from a shared passion for helping people reconnect with themselves in a deeper, more meaningful way. In a world that often feels fast, noisy and overwhelming, we wanted to create something calming, thoughtful and uplifting — a place where people can explore mind, body and soul practices that encourage healing, self-awareness and mindfulness.
Both of us are Reiki Masters and deeply spiritual people who continue to walk our own personal journeys every single day. Like many others, we have spent years discovering practices, routines and ways of thinking that genuinely fit into real life. We know that spirituality is not about perfection — it is about connection, growth, understanding and finding peace within ourselves while navigating the world around us.
Our journey also led us physically to where we are today. Simon was born in beautiful Brixham and had always dreamed of returning home to the sea. I, Sam, had always longed to live by the coast, drawn to the calmness, healing energy and freedom that the ocean brings. So, together, we made the decision to leave Worcestershire behind and begin a completely new chapter here in Devon — and it has been one of the best decisions we have ever made.
Late last year, we launched the Brixham Beacon, a community publication focused on local news, events and real-life stories from the area. We have been completely overwhelmed by the response and support from the local community. Watching people embrace the Beacon so warmly has been incredibly humbling and inspiring for us both.
But alongside the Beacon, we felt there was another conversation that needed space too — one centred around wellbeing, spirituality, healing and personal growth. We recognised that so many people are searching for ways to cope with modern life, reduce stress, reconnect with themselves and simply feel a little more balanced and understood.
That is why Inspire was created.
Through articles, shared experiences, mindful practices and honest conversations, we hope Inspire becomes a comforting and empowering space for people from all walks of life. Whether someone is taking their very first steps into spirituality or has been on their journey for years, we want this magazine to feel welcoming, grounded and authentic.
Helping people has always been something close to our hearts. If something we publish helps even one person feel calmer, stronger, more connected or more hopeful, then Inspire is doing exactly what it was created to do.
Thank you for being here and for becoming part of this journey with us.
With love,
Sam & Simon
